Update 5/21/21: I last updated this story in 2019. Thanks to research scientists, many of my views about substance use are now more informed. Thanks to counselors who offer research-informed counseling protocols, I am now in remission from substance use disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. I am currently writing brief pieces that may be of assistance to clients and attempting to compose sentences in Mandarin Chinese.
